RAILDEX® is an open-source standard, that defines interfaces and data formats for data exchange between different roles in railway maintenance. RAILDEX® is published by RAILDEX e.V. and continuously developed by the members of the association.

It is the aim to establish a standardised digital data exchange for maintenance and asset management processes within the railway sector. The exchange of necessary information between the various players should be structured in the form of data in order to minimise inefficient manual processes and thus reduce associated costs and times. This should also improve data quality within the processes and ultimately increase safety and reliability in railway operations.​
RAILDEX® is an open standard that is provided on a non-discriminatory basis. To access the RAILDEX® documentation, you must register using the following form. Registration is free of charge. Participation in the RAILDEX® standardisation process is only possible as a member of RAILDEX e.V. To do this, a membership application must first be submitted.
